Dark & Moody Bar Interior

This week’s scheme is something that set’s my soul on fire, a bar interior. Much of my working life has been spent designing and rethinking these often overlooked and unconsidered spots. There’s nothing better than the touch of a reclaimed timber, intimate lighting and some eclectic retro style furniture to really get a place going. I especially love this super decadent vertically upholstered seating, with plenty of squish to sink in to. Here we’re looking to create a space that you can lose the hours over a glass or two with great pals, no matter the weather’s like outside.

The beauty of this interior is really in the different textures, surfaces. The details are quite simple but the hard industrial feel, is softened with the refurbished vintage style furniture. Contrasting this against a simple yet efficient back bar design brings this to life. Obviously if you are lucky enough to be working with a slightly dilapidated shell of a building then you’re halfway there already. Seeing the beauty in an old evolved space that makes your space a real one of kind destination is the real key here.
